What happens when language ceases to convey meaning—and begins to sound? In a concert featuring the Duo Stock–Wettin and translator Martina Lisa, the sound of the Czech language is explored beyond the realm of comprehension: intonation, rhythm, and sound structure. Part of the program is a world premiere by Dresden composer Friedemann Stolte, whose work draws on texts from the recent poetry collection *Und ich sah mein Gesicht* (Voland & Quist, 2026) by Petr Hruška (winner of the Dresden Poetry Prize), which Martina Lisa has translated and adapted into verse.
