The international and interdisciplinary residency programme is an integral part of HELLERAU and offers artists the opportunity to deepen their own working methods and develop concentrated projects. In addition to the residency flats, studios, project rooms and the cultural garden behind the Festspielhaus are available for research, rehearsal and experimentation. Temporary communities are formed between the resident artists, they network with other artists in the house, with the regional art scene and other cultural actors, and they meet an interested public in open studios, at shows and workshops.
