Somewhere between shimmering melancholy and uncompromising clarity, Charlotte Brandi unfolds her very own world – poetic, powerful and always a little mysterious. The Dortmund-based singer, composer and novelist crafts her songs like precisely honed miniatures, in which baroque piano lines meet soaring choruses and subtle electronics, serving as a backdrop for lyrics that are at once tentative and tender, yet powerful and direct. The fact that she was once one half of the duo Me and My Drummer now echoes only as a distant memory. In the FEATURE RING, Charlotte Brandi blends intimacy and drama, pop and prose through her singing and readings – an evening whose intensity lingers like a mist of gold dust.
