This is music to lose yourself in! Having first immersed herself in the world of music as a child in Hamburg through the saxophone, she soon discovered the power of producing, composing and singing. Her dazzlingly multifaceted talents come together in music that is captivatingly funky, fluid and light, and joyfully folky – allowing delighted listeners to discover, time and again, aspects they wouldn’t have expected here and now! Alongside the Frauenkirche, the Weinbergkirche in Pillnitz is surely the most picturesque venue in the FEATURE RING series. In collaboration with our long-standing partner Hi-Fi Körner, we invite you to a special concert, amplified through the exquisite speakers from Körner. 

Biography

Mieke Miami is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer and producer. She lives in Luckenwalde. She studied jazz saxophone at the Berlin UdK/JIB (Jazz-Institut Berlin). With her latest third album, “Birdland” (Sonar Kollektiv), she playfully transcends musical boundaries across time, creating a sophisticated fusion of jazz, film music, soul, songwriting and experimental electronica. Mieke Miami combines vintage synths, brass, playful beats and warm vocals to create a sound all of her own, situated somewhere between yesterday and the day after tomorrow.
