A workshop on the subject of observation – open to all interested parties. During this workshop two things will be practiced: The observation of the other and how to act under this observation. For humans, “being under observation” means being vulnerable. Surveillance is often associated with power. In everyday life, we are surrounded by a multi-layered, ubiquitous web of surveillance mechanisms, which also contributes to reinforcing fears. During the workshop, the participants act under observation in various situations and try to draw strength from their own vulnerability. At the same time, the participants will practice observing themselves and explore whether there are forms of surveillance without exercising power.
