Zerrissene Musik
Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen
Tradition, the composer Wilfried Krätzschmar had explained, was a “backpack” for him, but one with tools that provided inspiration, not a burden. In the fall of 2024, Tectum-Verlag published an anthology about his “backpack”, his compositional work, in the series Dresdner Schriften zur Musik, which will be presented at the HfM Dresden in December 2024.
Following the successful premiere of his 5th Symphony at DTzM 2019 in the Great Hall of the Festspielhaus, another major world premiere by Krätzschmar is planned as part of DTzM 2025 with the Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen under Ekkehard Klemm. The concert evening will open with a new work by the young Iranian composer Aida Shirazi and will be recorded and broadcast by Deutschlandfunk, as has been the case regularly since 2019.
