Opening HYBRID Biennale 2024
with Keynote by Tina Lorenz
On 12 October, the Dresdner Sinfoniker will open the HYBRID Biennale with a spectacular robot concert, as a world premiere and cooperation project with CeTI – Centre for Tactile Internet, the Cluster of Excellence at Dresden University of Technology. Before the concert, we welcome the audience to a reception in the Dalcroze Hall at the Festspielhaus Hellerau with insights into the planned festival programme by Moritz Lobeck (HYBRID director) and a keynote speech by Tina Lorenz.
Tina Lorenz grew up in the Chaos Computer Club, then studied theatre studies and American literary history in Vienna and Munich. She lectured in theatre history at the Academy of Performing Arts Bavaria, worked as a dramaturge at the Landestheater Oberpfalz and finally as a consultant for digital communication at the Staatstheater Nürnberg. From 2020 to 2023, she founded and headed the Digital Theatre Department at Staatstheater Augsburg. She is a founding member of the hackspaces metalab Vienna and Binary Kitchen Regensburg; since January 2024 she has headed the ZKM Hertzlab, the department for artistic research & development at the Centre for Art and Media Karlsruhe.
