In search of feelings, ideas and memories, Gizem Aksu in Dresden collects bodybased data for an archive of feelings. How do personal and historical events inscribe themselves into the body? The Archive of Feelings will not only document, but above all examine the body as mobile and shaped from a political, sociological, economic and anthropological perspective. At the Open Studio, Gizem Aksu will share her artistic research method and, together with the audience, view collected material from the emerging archive and supplement it with new data.
Gizem Aksu works within the framework of the project “Be Mobile-Create Together”. “Be Mobile” is a multinational residency program that promotes the exchange of artists* between Europe and Turkey.
