Late Night Concert with Frank Bretschneider, Xuri & John Cleworth
raster. fokus
Since its foundation in 1996, raster has established itself as an international artistic platform and label for experimental electronic music. One of raster’s aims is to release groundbreaking electronic music, to create and maintain spaces for pioneering experiments. On March 15, HELLERAU will host Frank Bretschneider, who is known for his precise placement of sounds, complex, interwoven rhythmic structures and minimal, flowing approach. In addition, Danish artist Susanne Cleworth aka Xuri and Australian artist John Cleworth will present a new set of driving breakbeats and hypnotic melodies, recorded and produced in February 2024 in the studio of Danish composer Gunner Møller Pedersen. After raster’s last appearance at HELLERAU in the reconstructed Appia stage, raster. fokus in the Festspielhaus and the new “HYBRID Box extented” project in cooperation with PYLON in Dresden’s city center will provide a first link to the HYBRID Biennale next October.
