Concert: Cudowne Lata
Cudowne Lata aka The Wonder Years is an indie pop band from the Polish metropolis of Warsaw. Ania and Amina skillfully combine catchy melodies with stirring lyrics, versatile instrumentation and electro sounds. The pair find musical inspiration in Polish jazz-pop from the 70s and 80s, for example, or in classical Arabic music (due to Amina’s Lebanese roots).
Cudowne Lata have been part of the thriving alternative music scene in Warsaw and Krakow for 12 years. They organize events with the aim of making music projects by women* and queers visible.
After two released albums and numerous performances as a duo, they decided to expand the band line-up with Nela Gzowska (bass) and Ola Gajkowska (drums). In May 2023, they successfully toured as a quartet to promote their album “You took the girl away from the boys”.
