intercity.strudel
A documentary exhibition
The exhibition at “intercity.strudel”, an open (non-)production space at Wiener Platz 6, not far from Dresden’s main railway station, documents the works created by HfBK Dresden students during the previous summer semester as part of the semester project “Umräumen – Künstlerische Interventionen und kollaborative Praxen”. The artistic interventions address power relations and social inequalities, question the status quo and examine places, narratives and images, taking them apart and rearranging them in order to put everything back together again. The students of the stage and costume design course / Studio Ehnes, Klaßen also invited students from other universities to establish a space for exchange and coming together free of production constraints. The intercity.strudel was open daily from 02.05.-12.07.2024. Students, interested parties and passers-by were invited to visit the store, linger and take up space and use it for themselves.
The resulting works from intercity.strudel will be presented at this year’s HYBRID Biennale 2024 as part of the focus weekend “Who’s Your City” in the form of an exhibition as well as various screenings and performances.
The documentary exhibition is open in the Festspielhaus on 18. & 19.10. starting from 16:00 h
The performances and video works created as part of intercity.strudel will be shown on 19.10. from 16:00-18:00 in and in front of the Festspielhaus.
The intercity.strudel program was formulated as follows:

Or for new audience-related formats.

feedback culture
material experiments
caring performance formats
and always with one foot in the public space.
