Berlin Manson
Berlin Manson create tracks that are free in terms of genre and attitude. On the border between analog and digital, they mix electronic DIY beats with punk, post-punk, rap, trap and HC. Their music combines raw energy with a provocative edge and reflects the paradoxes of life in Eastern Europe in late capitalism. Full of sarcasm and criticism, they comment on current events in the Slovakian scene, but remain a fresh part of it. Since their first album release “Poor but Sexy” (2024) at the latest, they have become an integral part of the music scene. And with their recently released album “Polámeme svoje ID?” they have gone one better.

The Slovakian post-punk trio Berlin Manson consists of singer and lyricist Adam Dragun, producer and drummer Patrik Nagy and drummer Tomáš Tabiš. In 2022, they released their first major single “Netancujem, kývemhlavou” (as the duo Patrik Nagy & Adam Dragun). Shortly afterwards, they released their first EP entitled ”Život končí keď máš trinásť and won the “Newcomer of the Year” award at Slovak Radio. As a band primarily focused on live performances, they performed at almost all major Czech and Slovak festivals. In 2023, drummer Tomáš Tabiš (known from the band 52 Hertz Whale) joined the band. During their more than 60 shows that year, their musical program evolved from an electronic-neurotic party to regular punk and rap aggression. They were attacked by neo-Nazis, distributed numerous copies of Mark Fisher’s lyrics at the concerts and broke some things on stage. In 2024, they performed in Kiev (Ukraine) and played a sold-out show at the MENT Ljubljana showcase. They also won the “Single of the Year” award for the song “Hotel Kyiv”, which was created in collaboration with electronic producer FVLCRVM. They then presented their first album “Poor but Sexy”, which deals with the paradoxes of life in the Eastern European version of late capitalism. In addition to the unexpected collaboration with names from the Slovakian punk trap scene, the album also includes a track with Slovakian alternative pop singer Katarzia.
