For the guest performance of the production “Sitzen ist eine gute Idee” by the Hamburg company Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft on 22/23 April 2022 at HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts Dresden, we are looking for as many and as diverse participants as possible, with and without stage experience.
“Sitting is a Good Idea” is the third and thus last play in a trilogy by Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft about time and transience. The other two plays in the trilogy, “ENDE” and “Alles auf Anfang”, have also already been performed at HELLERAU in 2017 and 2019.
For this production, Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft has questioned the choreographic and political action potential of the stand-up movement in advance with many people and has come to the conclusion that sitting is also an important symbol for self-determined action.
When?
1st rehearsal: 19 April, Tuesday, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
3 hours in total
2nd rehearsal: 20 April, Wednesday,17:30 h – 22:30 h
On this date we will rehearse in a smaller group. Therefore, each person will only need 2 hours. The corresponding time slots will be determined in advance in individual consultation by e-mail.
3rd rehearsal (dress rehearsal): 21 April, Thursday, 5:15 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Performances
1st performance: 22 April, Friday
Arrival: 18:00, performance starts: 20:00
2nd performance: 23 April, Saturday
Arrival: 19:00, performance starts: 20:00

All rehearsals and also the performances take place in the Great Hall of HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts.

What we want from you
- Age of majority
- We are looking for as many extras as possible of different sexes, ages and backgrounds. You should be communicative, as you will mainly be talking and not dancing.
- Participation is only possible with the Corona requirements for audiences in force at the time of rehearsals and performances (probably 3G).
