Let’s go! On 03./04.04. “Parkour 2020 – Festival of the free scene of Saxony” should take place. We have waited for a long time and now it is time. In an adapted, smaller, but no less exciting setting, all the planned artists* will come together online and in real life on 11.07.2020 to find partnerships together, to continue to spin old networks and to ring in the second round of the format “Parkour”. The long-term goal is to develop a festival for the independent scene in Saxony.

On 03./04.04.2020, the “Who’s Who” of the Saxon independent scene will come together to find partnerships, continue to weave old networks, and herald the second round of the “Parkour” format. The long-term goal is to develop a festival for the independent scene in Saxony.
Parkour 2020 is showcase, platform and networking place. At the invitation of HELLERAU and in cooperation with Schaubühne Lindenfels, Off-Stage KOMPLEX Chemnitz, Residenz Schauspiel Leipzig and LOFFT-DAS THEATER, freelance artists meet inside to present, exchange and network a wide range of artistic work from Saxony. Under the motto “Weiter zeigen!” a selection of productions from the past theatre season will be shown, supplemented by short plays from the visual and performing arts as well as installations.
The supporting programme will deal with the network of the independent scene in the entire federal state and with topics related to independent production. The different perspectives on free producing will be collected and discussed in different formats during the Parkour.
For Parkour 2020: “Weiter Zeigen!” we invite players from the independent scene in Saxony, from small festivals to established venues, from funding foundations to cultural policy to HELLERAU!
