We will keep you up to date. +++
At the center of 4:3 Kammer Musik Neu, which will take place for the 3rd time in 2020, is experimental and contemporary music, the exploration of possibilities for the great rebellious gesture with the smallest means (Luigi Nono). On November 6, 2020 the festival will open with BLACKBOX, a concert program in three parts: Enno Poppe’s composition “Rundfunk” (2018) for nine synthesizers, Robert Henke’s project “CBM 8032 AV” (2019) for 5 computers and the world premiere of a new spatial composition by Shiva Feshareki. All projects share a special curiosity for current and “historical” techniques of electronic music, for the particularities of fascinating “black boxes” like synthesizers or computers.
Further program points at “4:3” are current works by Charlotte Triebus, OEIN/PHOENIX16 as well as world premieres of “Next Generations”: with the Composer Class Dresden and the Ensemble Contemporary Insights. Following Rebecca Saunders (2019), this year Helmut Lachenmann will be portrayed in several concerts and in cooperation with the Dresden University of Music.
