Streichquartett PLUS
Quatuor Bozzini und die Komponistenklasse Dresden
Moderated family concert with exciting music stories of the youngest generation of composers
Two violins, a viola and a cello, as well as elements such as voice, facial expressions and gestures, scenic actions on stage or interaction with the audience – under the motto “String Quartet PLUS” 15 world premieres can be experienced by students of the Dresden composer class. Under the guidance of composers Silke Fraikin and Johannes Korndörfer, the eight- to 18-year-olds have written their pieces for the four musicians from Montreal.
The string quartet Quatuor Bozzini has been a guest of the composers’ class several times since the summer of 2017 and has worked on the newly composed works together with the young composers, among them “Auf einer Waldlichtung” by Ranon Baltrusch, “Das Gewitter” by Tom Seidel, “Lise und die Männer” by Ole Lehnert and “Mit der Straßenbahn unterwegs” by Anton Zeißig.
