Season Festival for the Day of Open Monument 2022
At the beginning of the new season, we cordially invite you to the Open Monument Day with many insights into the historical, architectural and artistic development of the house. Visitors can explore the Festspielhaus and the grounds around it in a variety of ways or linger in the Kulturgarten and enjoy an ice cream.
Change of timetable!
Line 8 will only run between Hellerau and Infineon Süd every 30 minutes on Sunday. At the Infineon Süd stop there is a transfer to line 7.

Guided tour of the East Wing

Julian Snethlage, project manager at the architects’ office heinlewischer, reports on the status of the conversion during a tour of the east wing. By the end of 2023, a rehearsal and residence centre with studio stage and gastronomy will be built here. The design by heinlewischer includes a generous structural opening of the building. The foyer, which is as high as the building and flooded with light, will then provide a view of the listed Kroherbinder and create an architectural and historical connection from the forecourt to the surrounding garden city.

Georg Ruhnau talks about his father, the well-known architect Walter Ruhnau, whose work was significant for the revitalisation of the site in the 1990s, among other things.
