Pioneers of contemporary Moscow theatre

With the teatr.doc and the praktika teatr two of the most important Russian independent theatres of recent years are guests in HELLERAU. With the death of the two directors of teatr.doc Mikhail Ugarov and Elena Gremina and the death of Dmitri Brusnikin, one day after his appointment as artistic director of praktika teatr, both Moscow theatres have been in a phase of upheaval since last year. The critic and author Pavel Rudnev will report on the history and development of these unique theatres in a lecture and then talk to representatives of the two theatres about their current situation and the future of the two theatres.
