Feature Ring at the Palais Sommer 2020

For more than ten years now, the Ring Trio (Demian Kappenstein, Eren Solak, Felix-Otto Jacobi) has been able to enthuse visitors and listeners alike during their monthly workshop concert in HELLERAU. Always new, always different – be it light art, poetry or jazz music: as a well-established series, the trio welcomes various artists to join them in bringing something new and unique to the stage, full of the joy of experimentation.

Drones, beats, rap – you can’t do that with a trumpet! Sure you can make it work. Based on experimental trumpet playing with extended playing techniques the Cologne musician Pablow Giw works with elements of different genres and combines minimalistic structures with Noise & Neo Soul. With his instrument he creates dense walls of sound and hissing beats of air, which sound to his singing and his spoken-word lyrics.
