with Max Prosa
Finally feeling a sense of community again! Max Prosa connects with his audience in a miraculous way. But how? ‘It always starts with words,’ says Max, and then they go on a journey, becoming piano ballads, guitar songs, poems or letters to his fan base. He once dropped out of physics studies to pursue music. Since then, he has wandered between philosophy and poetry, between songwriting and lyrics. His calm manner is reminiscent of a different time – a time when the ticking of a wall clock was louder than the ticking of a smartphone. At the Palais Sommer on Neumarkt, the motto is: listen, immerse yourself, connect.
*Please note: This event takes place on Neumarkt!
Max Prosa is a storyteller. Listening to him play the guitar or piano allows you to experience this in its purest form. His songs and poems are moving, they get under your skin, they highlight issues, stir things up and sometimes leave us with questions in our hearts, yet always comforted at the same time. Some of his songs achieve greater popularity, such as ‘Flügel’ (Wings), which was written in 2012 but only reached a wider audience in 2020 through Egon Werler’s interpretation on the casting show ‘The Voice’. Max Prosa’s new album ‘Dein Haus’ also features the title song of the film ‘15 Jahre’, performed by actress Hannah Herzsprung.
In addition to these major successes, Max Prosa has been working tirelessly on his lyrics and songs for years, playing concerts and reading his poems. He has collected the latter in his new poetry collection ‘Als wir ein Sternbild waren’ (When We Were a Constellation), the first edition of which sold out in no time. At Max Prosa’s concerts, the audience becomes a community. A bell forms around them, stretching space and time. Max tells of mothers and sons, kings and thieves, and of course the great themes of chanson: transience, passion and love. Always in his own way and in a way that touches the heart.
