The Frankfurt Dance Company presents a ballet evening with choreographers by William Forsythe and Jacopo Godani. In William Forsythe’s N.N.N.N.N. (2002), four men find themselves in a state of constant, silent connection, who enter into an intense, complex engraving through Thom Willem’s suddenly murmuring composition. Their arms, heads, bodies and legs become unique voices, each tuned for itself and all contrapuntally.

In Jacopo Godani’s “Echoes from a Restless Soul” (2016) to Maurice Ravel’s piano compositions “Ondine & Le Gibet” from “Gaspard de la Nuit” (played live), the choreographic elements join together to form a series of pas de deux and quartets that describe a landscape of artistic virtuosity. Godani enhances movement sequences through the pointe shoe with remarkable freedom within certain aesthetic parameters. The Dresden premiere of a new production by Jacopo Godani can also be seen.
