Potentials of the Independent Performing Arts

The Saxon Academy of Arts and HELLERAU present the initiative “TWO for Dresden”, a program to strengthen the independent performing arts. Based on this initiative, the focus is on the role of the independent scene in today’s urban society, its working methods and the strengthening of production structures. This is also linked to the significance of the independent performing arts in the next double budget 2019/20 of the state capital Dresden. Actors* of the independent scene from Dresden and other cities will report on their experiences, strategies and exemplary cultural-political results.
