From the harder spectrum of sounds come Yardfield Colony, a group of musicians with live and studio experience who are eager to bring their varied mix of old and modern death metal to the stage. Stylistically, they skilfully combine brute force with a certain dose of melody.

Yardfield Colony was founded in 2012 by former members of regionally known metal bands. After various demo songs and live gigs, the drums and vocals were replaced and the band’s headquarters were moved from Thalheim in the Erzgebirge to Dresden. The debut EP “The Procession” was released in March 2017, followed by gigs in clubs and at festivals in and outside Germany. This gave them the opportunity to share the stage with various genre greats and idols. With the work on the first longplayer and another change, this time on lead guitar, the band’s sound developed into its very own style. Then, at the end of 2019, a dozen energetic songs were professionally recorded, again at Hofmann Studios in Coburg. The result, the LP “The Absorption”, was released on 07.03.2020 via Rising Nemesis Records and could already be presented with a new bass player at the release show. Even though the following pandemic prevented many gigs and cost nerves, Yardfield Colony are more eager than ever to be able to play their music in front of an audience.

Just as it will be an immersion into a new musical world for one or the other spectator of the Tuesday Salon, it will also be a completely new experience for the musicians of Yardfield Colony. Whether the group around singer Joachim can also shine in conversation away from the stage will become clear in the dialogue with host Max Rademann.

One thing is certain: Yardfield Colony stand for blast & groove death metal straight in your face!

Yardfied Colony, a group of musicians with live and studio experience, continue the musical and thematic path of their debut EP “The Procession” with their first LP “The Absorption”. The independent, varied and brutal mix of old and modern death metal, paired with a certain dose of melody, can be found in all songs.

Yardfield Colony was founded in 2012 by ex-members of regionally known metal bands. After various demo songs and live gigs, a line-up change on drums and vocals was made in 2015. After the release of their debut EP “The Procession” in March 2017, Yardfield Colony settled in Dresden. After a new line-up on lead guitar in early 2018, more numerous live gigs and lots of song material quickly followed. This contributed more and more to the fact that the own sound, style and cohesion of Yardfield Colony matured, so that at the end of 2019 the first longplayer could be recorded again in the Hoffmann Studios – Coburg. This was released on 07.03.2020 via Rising Nemesis Records and could already be presented with a new bass player at the release show.
