17:00 Roman Senkl (Director, Digital Dramaturg) | Access via Zoom
A short lecture between Zoom & Hubs, about virtual vs. “real” spaces, reality as cyborg, the digital Gesamtkunstwerk, Tik Tok and Shitstorms as weapons, digital literacy, algorithms as ensemble members, own artistic positions and works – and: Bertold Brecht.
17:30 Trond Reinholdtsen (The Norwegian Opra) | Access via Mozilla HUBS
Language: English

Trond Reinholdtsen’s world premiere of the large-scale philosophical opera project and agitprop oratorio of Ø’s Follower with The Norwegian Opra and Ensemble Decoder unfortunately had to be postponed to November 4, 2021. He will therefore first discuss his view of the sad situation of contemporary music and his realization that the abolition of capitalism is the only political issue worthy of the opera format, together with Roman Senkl, in an untidy digital basement, a jukebox for homeless avatars, in conclusion and at the same time question it technically.

Trond Reinholdtsen studied singing and composition at the Academy of Music in Olso and attended master classes with Brian Ferneyhough, Helmut Lachenmann and Salvatore Sciarrino, among others, and has worked for many years with Vegard Vinge and Ida Müller at the Berlin Volksbühne, among others. His music and performances are essayistic and propagandistic in character, based on conceptual strategies, an enthusiasm for semantics, and a critical investigation of the genres and institutions of new music.
