Jasmine Morand
‘MIRKIDS’ is the visually stunning dance work for young audiences by choreographer Jasmine Morand, who lives in Vevey (Switzerland). A fascinating, hypnotic factory of images in which young and old can marvel and lose themselves. The audience lies star-shaped on the stage around a large cylinder and looks up into the sky. A giant mirror floats on the ceiling, on which the dancers inside the cylinder are visible. Following a rhythm, individual body parts form incredible figures, like the colourful patterns of a kaleidoscope: symmetrical, flowing, mysterious and always in motion.

Choreographer Jasmine Morand was born in Zurich in 1977 and lives in Vevey. Her choreographic work is inspired by the visual arts and new technologies. The result is a diverse body of work that emerges from these ever-changing fields. After starting her career as a classical dancer, Jasmine Morand trained at various European schools such as the Académie Princesse Grace in Monaco and Codarts in Rotterdam.
