Rethinking Audiences Discussions

Throughout the festival students of the TU Dresden’s accompanying study program “Theater sehen, denken, spielen” will be accompanied by a group of theater makers and mediators –  the Geheime Dramaturgische Gesellschaft (Secret Dramaturgical Society). Together, they view plays, observe festival events, question structures and initiate exchanges with the audience. The aim is to develop and implement alternative formats for discussions about the performances. All audience discussions are conceived and carried out independently by the students. New methods are tested here that go beyond traditional discussion formats, questioning traditional forms and enabling an exchange at eye level between artists and audience members.
