Anne Munka alias No Splendor

No Splendor deals intensively with the points of contact between language and music in her artistic work. She plays with the ambivalent relationship between word and sound, not only in composition, sound collage and installation but also in the live context. Munka is the organiser and performer of the series “Lyrik ist Happening” (sound art meets literature) and “No Splendor feat.” (collaborative songwriting).

She is currently working on her solo programme, in which she not only accompanies her songs in the classic singer/songwriter manner with the guitar but also stages them with wondrous soundscapes from field recordings, spoken word and liveloops.
