4:3 Chamber Music New questions spaces and constellations and explores possibilities for great seditious gesture with the smallest means (Luigi Nono). “Stasis” by Rebecca Saunders follows this approach in an abstract musical theatre, in a subtle staging of people in space. Ragnar Kjartansson’s elegiac video composition “The Visitors” celebrates the emergence and disappearance of a fragile musical community. Alexander Schubert explores new spaces and boundaries of art in the digital age. PYLON, future lab and amplifier for time-based media in Dresden and partner of HELLERAU, presents with “Walled Unwalled” by Lawrence Abu Hamdan an essayistic analysis of the sound permeability of walls. Other great guests are El Perro Andaluz with the Arktisk Sinfonietta featuring Ola Asdahl Rokkones, AuditivVokal with new works by Jadwiga Frej, Ji Hyun Yoo and others as well as Klangkollektiv Opus Eins under the direction of Eckehard Stier with premieres of the composer class Dresden.
