According to tradition, Bangkok is a deity who was brought into being with a birth chart predicting her demise. The film understands the violent conflict that has rocked Bangkok for over a decade as a manifestation of this prophecy. In doing so, it interweaves several stories about dancer Pichet Klunchun, who subverts a form of state propaganda, with the journey of an unnamed narrator trying to make peace with the city’s contradictions and belief systems.
