Open Studio: Pictures, Videos and more
Vera Glavinskaya & Lil Pearl
The Belarusian artists Vera Glavinskaya and Lil Pearl (names changed) were in residence at HELLERAU in February and May 2023. Within the Open Studio they now present a working state of their performance. They explore how cameras can turn victims into attackers, working with dramatic text, video elements, and acting. The inability to show one’s face is a political reality for many people from the post-Soviet space and plays an important role in the performance.
After the show there will be an opportunity for an exchange with the artists.
