Try-Out Tour with the Artefactourists

2023/24 Open Studio Residenz Moving Identities

The Open Studio is cancelled for 25.04.

Artefactourists is a collective from Estonia formed by the choreographers Valeria Januškevitš, Keity Pook, Sigrid Savi, Kadri Sirel and the dramaturge Kerli Ever. Artefactourism – a neologism created by the group – refers to the act of remembering that is triggered by places and artifacts. Artefactourists believes that these everyday journeys in time and space shape our individual and collective identities, but also contain ways of rerouting.

The collective invites you to a performative try-out tour through Hellerau. Within this work-in-progress, Artefactourists share their artistic research during the residencies. Their artistic research focuses on memory, identity and the working body. The try-out tour explores the power of narratives and considers urban spaces as repositories and catalysts for individual and collective identities.

The walk lasts ca. 1 h 30 mins.

Different special needs can be communicated beforehand, we try to be as accommodating as possible.

Duration: ca. 2 h
