The solo performance “Swan Lake in Sneakers” opens the view for the multifaceted forms of dance and the power of transformation inherent in every body. In this sense, the piece sees itself as a fun and creative transfer of knowledge for young people, passing on different perspectives on dance and movement. What is dance? What can dance be? Which bodies dance? Dancer Anna Till moves in a crossover of styles that shift from the everyday to the grotesque, from the classical to the popular. Historical movement material meets contemporary form. O-tones of different choreographers, music and sounds resound from records, cassettes and boom boxes. Is waiting for the bus actually also dance?
