Composer-Class Dresden
Gemischtes Doppel-Trio
In the family concert of the Dresden Composers’ Class, the sound collective Opus Eins under the direction of Milko Kersten presents 17 world premieres penned by children and young people, including “Stonehenge” (Julius Balsukat), “Circus Piece” (Elias Krauße), “The Alarm Clock” (Fanny Weber), “A Locomotive Ride” (Linda Korndörfer), “The Devil’s Violinist” (Manuel Timme) or “Sunset” (Lilly Bauer). Three wind players (clarinet, saxophone, trombone) and three string players (violin, viola, cello) perform in a wide variety of constellations. The eight to 19-year-olds composed their pieces under the guidance of Silke Fraikin, Johannes Korndörfer, Annette Schlünz and Bernd Schumann and rehearsed them together with the musicians. The conductor leads through the program and introduces the young composers in short interviews.
