Komponisten zum Frühstück (Composers for breakfast)

Guest: Moritz Eggert (DE)

Sunday breakfast with new music

Musik

Cheeky, humorous and in the best sense headstrong – many of Eggert’s works, whether in music or text, can be described in this way. And so, at the next composer’s breakfast, a particularly contrasting experience awaits the audience inside. In the usual manner, the musical parts of the matinees, led by Benjamin Schweitzer and Moritz Eggert, will be embedded in a detailed conversation.

Born in 1965, Moritz Eggert is regarded as one of the most versatile and adventurous voices of contemporary music. One of his major concerns is to liberate New Music from its “ivory-titude” and unworldliness. Among other things, he regularly writes in the music blog “Bad Blog of Musick”, which he founded, and has written many satirical, provocative and much-discussed articles in various online and print media.
