Open Studio: Gabo Champagne
As part of an exchange program between the Goethe-Institut Montreal, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and Le Vivier – Carrefour des musiques nouvelles and HELLERAU, Gabo Champagne was selected for a two-month residency at HELLERAU.
Gabo Champagne – composer and transdisciplinary artist – will be in residence at HELLERAU from October to December. During this time, twill be working on the conception of the music theatre piece ‘Trou noir aux frontières pilo-motrices’. Gabo Champagne reflects on the traditional concert framework and explores the role of space in a musical work and the relationship between audience and artists.
In the open studio Gabo Champagne will share insights into their research and artistic practice.
