with John Kameel Farah
We have an ancient question in our luggage: Is there music that originates outside the earth? The ancient Greeks were sure: When two celestial bodies collide, a sound is created, a “harmony of the spheres”. We, on the other hand, are sure: John Kameel Farah brings exactly such cosmic sounds back to earth. In his special way of composing there is a lot to listen to: Piano, synthesizer, organ, Arabic melodies. The Canadian-born composer and pianist calls this “maximalism” and takes our eardrums into a musically overwhelming world. Come with us into completely new (atmo)spheres!
