Barbara Thalheim was one of the best known representatives of the singer-songwriter scene in the GDR in the 70s and 80s. Her records were “Bückware” and told of the pleasure of thinking for oneself and the power of the individual, which was difficult to come to terms with ideological guidelines and appeals. Even after her 45th stage anniversary, she still climbs into the ring to look back with her songs on 30 years of German division, the building of the wall and the fall of the wall with the ring trio Jacobi, Kappenstein & Solak and the guest musicians Rüdiger Krause and Topo Gioia.
