Exotic Girlfriend was founded by curator and author Andi Soós and filmmaker Noémi Varga. Drummer Zsófia Papp joined the band in 2019 and bassist Éda Meggyesházi in 2021. Exotic Girlfriend played at Trafó – House of Contemporary Arts, Dürer Kert, Pontoon, Trip, Toldi Klub and Kolorádó Festival.
