Interventions on Mary Wigman
The city tour leads from Villa Wigman to the Festspielhaus Hellerau, the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden, the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz right through the city.
For the city tour, the actors*create moving artistic interventions in public space in order to make the essential places of dance artist Mary Wigman sensually perceptible and to mark them anew in the cultural landscape of the city.
The association Villa Wigman für TANZ e.V. is an initiative of the free dance scene and other supporters* in Dresden. He strives for the former place of work of the dancer and choreographer Mary Wigman in the Bautzner Straße 107 in Dresden. The aim is to preserve the school building in Dresden: as a cultural-historical place as well as a rehearsal, production and mediation centre for contemporary dance and other free performing arts.
