In April Jacopo Godani and the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company present a ballet evening with two premieres and a choreography from the repertoire at HELLERAU-European Centre for the Arts. Three works are characterized by an unbreakable bond between music and choreography: Three abstract ballets in the choreography of Jacopo Godani with music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Arnold Schönberg and 48nord.
For Hollow Bones Godani chose excerpts from the Suites for Violoncello by Johann Sebastian Bach, which will be performed live by the exceptional young cellist Petar Pejčić. Petar Pejčić attended, among others, the master class of the internationally renowned cellist Jan Vogler, who also sponsors him. For the second premiere, Godani is once again working with the musician collective 48nord. In the third work, Al di Là, Godani creates a completely new context for Arnold Schönberg’s composition Verklärte Nacht. He renews the invitation to the audience to enter another world and to contemplate the vision of infinite change.
