Die Arbeit

The work has begun. Is projection surface, back door, memory, cunning, a dancing skeleton in Vienna. The work washes you out of the doors. A beating for the manipulative mega-mass. The judging is done with tender violence. Today ideas are made. The Dresden music group Die Arbeit creates a pleasing monotony á la “German American Friendship” or “Joy Division” with reduced guitars, beats to the point, German poetry and propaganda. Produced as if in a workshop, the quartet installs its own social criticism in the midst of a capitalist heap of rubble. An oscillating experience of awakening between building up and tearing down. Less than two months alive, Die Arbeit now releases their first single “Leichen” on the Dresden label UNDRESSED Records after four concerts.
