Chez Company asks what GAMIFICATION does to a society. Is it about having fun to death or about incentives that are created so that the game with and around money does not go into neutral? Where is the game still entirely a game and the human being thus a human being?

An interactive sound work triggers the “game in the head” in the audience. Manipulative optimisation announcements, short game instructions or the observation of the other visitors, who are not supposed to be thinking about Corona or socialist realism right now, flip the switch of perception. In the process, the audience is not only sent through the Festspielhaus as a play figure, but on the second weekend, in the final ultimate step, they can also take over the game management in the back room. Track yourself.

Chez Company is a multi-media Berlin formation around the theatre and radio producers Gesine Danckwart, Fabian Kühlein and Sabrina Zwach. Intensive research has led them to special formats and projects such as the tool of the human avatar with which the audience could move digitally by proxy across the Alps or through the artists’ quarter 798 in Beijing. Her hybrid formats are currently being continued in the opera context at the Deutsche Oper Berlin with “themakingofblond” or just now with “Chez Nu”, a chezminist talk format at the Tools Festival, among others. Installative works are created with theatres and other partners such as galleries and museums.
