Annemaríe Reynis
With Annemaríe Reynis the influence of her time in Iceland cannot be denied. Her music is inspired by the powerful and often unconventional music of Nordic artists such as Björk, Loreena McKennitt or Anna Ternheim, which Reynis presents in a contemporary pop garment. With an impressively changeable voice, she tells in her songs about letting go, about love and longing. Three years after her debut album “A Reflection”, Annemaríe Reynis released the EP “Wasteland” (Engl: “Wasteland”) last year; a record arranged with attention to detail, on which Reynis’ ukulele occasionally duels with buzzing basses and driving drums try to drive away the cold of the wasteland.
