Clouds for tomorrow

Miller de Nobili, the current winners of the City of Dresden’s sponsorship award, present the story of two outsiders – awkward, rebellious, tender – caught between control and collapse, trying to find their place in a world they don’t quite fit into. Their journey unfolds through strange gestures and shifting dynamics, somewhere between resistance and care.

The project is dedicated to the aesthetics and impact of digital nostalgia, inspired by the so-called vaporwave movement. The focus is on questions of the body, memory and accessibility. Between choreography, sound, text and textiles, an immersive artistic field of research is being created that will culminate in a stage production in 2026. The show gives a first glimpse of this multi-layered work – and invites you to exchange ideas.

East Wing, Studio C
ca. 50 min
Movement workshop with Fang Yun Lo and David Le Thai
For the Day of Open Monuments, Fang Yun Lo and her colleague David Le Thai are offering a short movement workshop for everyone. It is about basic principles of movement – fast and slow, big and small, or round and angular. These movement qualities are tried out at various stations and linked to emotions and experiences. The workshop is aimed at all ages and is held in German and English.

Sebastian Weber Dance Company
Movement Workshop
15:30
East Wing, Studio C
ca. 30 min
Sebastian Weber’s invitation to experience the kick of tap dance – without tap shoes and without prior knowledge for everyone. With simple steps, stomping, clapping and dancing, the archaic foundations of groove can be physically experienced: the balance of beat and off-beat, focus and flow, community and individual.
