Silver Tears (they/she/layo) is an intuitive non-binary DJ. Their style of playing is “sugar trap”. Which is both a style and mindset: raw and unafraid. Silver creates a sonic journey exploring sugar trap as a genre. Oozing with feminine fluidity then smooth sailing to raw uncompromising energy. Silver proposes a trans diasporan sound where nostalgia guides the mix wherever it goes. Embracing the hardcore nature of having their roots grounded in the queer community, as well as loving trap, jersey club, house, amapiano and afro beats parties in London during the late 90s. Silver brings together these layers of complexities in a trans diasporan sound. Generally Silver loves to be able to get a crowd dancing, sweating and lost in the music.
