“Groove Is In The Heart” – true to this motto, Don Trakos has been on the turntables for more than 30 years. Always looking for the best sounds between disco, house, boogie, funk, soul and whatever else goes into the hips. Whether with the disco collective “Poco Paradiso”, at the “DAVE Festival” or as the longest-serving record entertainer in “Hebedas”, the groove is always in the spot light.

For over 20 years now, tables have accompanied me not only when enjoying my food. I celebrate deep and spicy soul with a pinch of salty surprises across genres. Everything from Rhythm & Blues to Modern Soul can end up on the table, depending on the audience’s appetite. My specialties are Deep Soul & Funk. Since 2012 I’m part of “Upon My Soul” in Dresden and every now and then i manage to conquer new dishes and tastes. Some other DJ spots in the past are 45° Degrees (Hamburg), Soul´d Up (Berlin), SoulShakers (Bamberg), Jester Wild Weekender (Leipzig), Movin’On (Barcelona), Not Too Young Swiss Soul (Lucerne) … and now i can’t wait to bring some soul to the Festspielhaus Hellerau.
