Call for choreographers from the Munich I Bavaria and/or Dresden I Saxony region
explore dance – Netzwerk Tanz für junges Publikum is looking for a choreographer to develop a contemporary dance piece for young audiences for the 2025/2026 season in co-production with the two explore dance partners Fokus Tanz München and HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts.
A new joint explore dance production is being created in Dresden and Munich:
The dance production for young audiences will be conceived both for the stage and flexibly for other spaces such as school rooms, gymnasiums, district cultural centres, galleries, libraries or public spaces.
This flexible form enables access to dance as an art form for a young audience beyond urban centres. A close dialogue between the artists and the young target group already takes place during the development of the piece. A mediation format (workshop, follow-up discussion, etc.) is considered during the development process of the production and follows the performances.
explore dance – Netzwerk Tanz für junges Publikum e.V. is a production and touring network consisting of 4 cooperating partners: fabrik moves (Potsdam), Fokus Tanz München, HELLERAU – European Centre for the Arts (Dresden) and K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg. Over the past 6 years, 29 productions for young audiences have been created with a total of over 400 performances.
