Residency Program Dreaming 90s

In collaboration with BUNKER (Ljubljana), Jam Factory Art Center (Lviv), Komuna Warszawa (Warsaw), Studio ALTA (Prague) and Workshop Foundation (Budapest), HELLERAU has selected 5 research projects that are researching the 1990s in their respective contexts. The seven artists are each invited for a two weeks residency in their local contexts and three weeks residency in HELLERAU, where they are mentored by the theatermakers and performers Ira Brand & Gosia Wdowik.

In the frame of HELLERAU’s festival “Transformation forever”, the artists share short insights into their research's during the cultural forum.

With research projects by:

Bence György Pálinkás & Tímea Török (Hungary), Karol Filo (Slovakia/Czech Republic), Mariia Bakalo & Maria Kardash (Ukraine/Austria), Stanisław Bulder (Poland), Toni Soprano Meneglejte (Slovenia).

The seven artists participating in the Dreaming 90s residency program are supported by two mentors during their research at HELLERAU. Feedback is shared in group formats and one-on-one sessions, the mentors share their experiences in short workshops, and joint check-ins, walks, and lunches keep the group together. Best practices, working methods, contexts, experiences, and topics are shared in a collaborative process.
