Bence György Pálinkás & Tímea Török (Hungary)
The research-based, participatory documentary theater project “Preparation for a Less-Lethal War” examines the realistic option of protecting the citizens of a country if the country refuses to kill. Hungary and Europe chose a path of extensive militarization, which we can’t see as a way of helping to maintain the peace. During the residency Bence György Pálinkás & Tímea Török examine the promises of the end of the Cold War and the NATO entry and the false hope of a more peaceful world from our current situation. The undeniability of the continuation of wars forces everybody to prepare. Can we choose a lesser-lethal path now?
