Gabo Champagne
October - December 2024
The Goethe-Institut Montreal, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and Le Vivier - Carrefour des musiques nouvelles and HELLERAU realise an annual residency exchange between Germany and Québec. As part of this exchange, one composer from Quebec is selected for a two-month residency in HELLERAU.
Gabo Champagne - composer and transdisciplinary artist - is in residence in HELLERAU from October to December. During this time, Gabo Champagne is working on the conception of the music theatre piece "Trou noir aux frontières pilo-motrices". Gabo Champagne reflects on the traditional concert framework and explores the role of space in a musical work and the relationship between audience and artists.
